Surrendering

Words on how best we should live as Christians – Fully Surrendered. Refer to Heart Of Worship for more insightful words on KGO

Everyone eventually surrenders to something or someone. If not to God, you will surrender to the opinions or expectations of others, to money, to resentment, to fear, or to your own pride, lusts, or ego. You were designed to worship God- and if you fail to worship Him, you will create others things (Idols) to give your life to. You are free to choose what you surrender to, but you are not free of the consequences of that choice.

Sometimes it takes years, but eventually you discover that the greatest hinderance to God’s blessing in your life is not others, it is yourself- your self-will, stubborn pride, and personal ambitions.

You cannot fulfill God’s purpose for your life while focusing on your own plans

If God is going to do His deepest work in you, it will begin with this. So give it all to God: Your past regrets, your present problems, your future ambitions, your fears, dreams, weakness, habits, hurts, and hang-ups. Put Jesus in the diver’s seat of your life and take your hands off the steering wheel. Don’t be afraid; nothing under his control can ever be out of control. Mastered by Christ, you can handle anything.

  1. One of the things I learned in serving the Lord and that is I am finding myself that life goes much easier when I surrender things to Him. Sometimes I like to hold on to things. But God has a sure way of getting my attention that I let go and give it to Him.

You know what the best part of it when I surrender to Him? Is that I laugh at myself for thinking I needed whatever it was. I tell you my Lord must shake His head and say,” that is my child there she goes.” He never holds it against me.

  2. “You are free to choose what you surrender to, but you are not free of the consequences of that choice.” . . . Amen brother! Each of us must own the consequences of our choices. If only everyone could somehow grasp this truth before making a wring choice, law enforcement officers would be unemployed, and our prisons and courtrooms empty.
