Open Heaven 7th January 2022 – Prayers For The New Year

Open Heaven 7th January 2022 Memorize: Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness. Psalms 65:11

READ: Psalm 65:9-13 Open Heaven 7th January 2022

9 Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.

10 Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof.

11 Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.

12 They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side.

13 The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Genesis 22-24

MESSAGE: – Open Heaven 7th January 2022 Friday Daily Devotional

1. Father, I thank You for the year 2022.

2. Please crown this year with Your goodness, Lord. Let me experience Your goodness every day of this year, Lord. Don’t let any evil come my way at all, in Jesus’ name.

3. Father, let good success be my portion this year. I want to prosper in everything I do. Whatsoever my hand finds to do according to your will, let it prosper this year, in Jesus’ name.

4. Lord, right from the beginning of this year until the end, protect me and my loved ones, in Jesus’ name. I will not bury anybody this year, neither will I cry over any member of my family, in Jesus’ name. Take evil far away from us this year, oh Lord, in Jesus’ name.

5. Father, before the end of this year, let me have cause to celebrate, in Jesus’ name. Help me to achieve great things this year. Lord, help me to accomplish with ease those things that had been difficult for me in the past, in the mighty name of Jesus.

6. This year Lord, no matter the state of the economy of my country and indeed, the world, be my Great Provider. I and my family will live in abundance, in the mighty name of Jesus.

7. Year 2022, hear the word of the Lord: You will favour me. You will be better than 2021 for me. You will work for my good. The Lord will promote me this year in the name of Jesus.

8. Lord, please guide me on the right path in this new year. Please don’t let me ever miss the path of righteousness; be my guide all through the year, in Jesus’ name.

9. I decree that this year, I will not spend on sickness, court cases, funeral ceremonies or anything negative. My money is marked for only good things; nothing sorrowful will come my way this year, in the mighty name of Jesus.

10. Father, this year, let me win more souls than ever before. Give me the boldness to preach the gospel and let everyone I preach to accept You as their Lord and Saviour, in Jesus’ name.

11. Father, let my zeal for Your Kingdom increase greatly this year. This year, let me be passionate about advancing Your Kingdom on earth. When You are looking for someone to use, please use me, Lord, in Jesus’ name.

12. Your personal prayer requests.

Open Heaven 7th January 2022 Friday Hymn

HYMN: ROCK OF AGES, CLEFT FOR ME

1. Rock of Ages, cleft for me,

Let me hide myself in Thee!

Let the water and the blood,

From Thy riven side which flowed,

Be of sin the double cure;

Cleanse me from its guilt and power.

2. Not the labours of my hands,

Can fulfill Thy law’s demands;

Could my zeal no respite know,

Could my tears for ever flow,

All for sin could not atone,

Thou must save and Thou alone.

3. Nothing in my hand I bring,

Simply to Thy cross I cling

Naked, come to Thee for dress,

Helpless, look to Thee for grace,

Foul, I to the fountain fly

Wash me, Saviour, or I die.

4. While I draw this fleeting breath,

When my eyelids close in death,

When I soar to worlds unknown,

See Thee on Thy judgement throne,

Rock of Ages, cleft for me,

Let me hide myself in Thee.

  1. There is value in praying some of these things, just as there is value in reading the deprecatory Psalms. But some of David’s prayers in the Psalms are expressions of his deep needs, and not very Christlike. As in Psalm 109:6-15.
In the same way, while we should pray for Father to prosper us and keep us healthy, #9 may miss the opportunity to meet needs, and it is unrealistic to believe nothing sorrowful will come our way in 2022. We hope not, but His ways are sometimes hidden from our eyes, as they were to Job and his ‘comforters.’
Read Hebrews 11, but do not stop at the first part of verse 35. Rather, determine to live as one of whom the world is not worthy, because we do not value the things of the world, but look for another Country (verse 16), a House whose builder and maker is our God.
❤️& daily 🙏 for you, Michael.
